Expectations of Band Members

Attend band practice regularly. Practice at home.

Ensure that term fees are paid within the first two weeks of the school term.

Be aware of performances and attend on a regular basis.

Be punctual for performances and rehearsals. If unable to attend on the day contact the Band Secretary/Musical Director.

Wear correct uniform to all performances. Uniform must be clean and tidy.

Help in setting up and packing away chairs and music stands at rehearsals.

Help in setting up and packing away band equipment at performances (especially percussion and the band marquee). Don’t just look after your own instrument and chair.

Treat your fellow band members in a courteous and friendly manner – we are all part of the same team.

Any questioning of the Musical Directors interpretation is to be conducted privately with a committee member present.

Ensure your membership details are up to date – contact the Band Secretary.

Any query regarding sheet music should be made to the Band Librarian.

Any queries, suggestions or complaints should be made to the Committee in writing – a suggestion box is available in the band hall.
